This once pristine saucer shaped pileus cloud is rapidly and ironically being¬†cannibalized¬†by the rising cumulus cloud below that created it. Pileus clouds usually don’t last very long. You and your camera must be ready.



It’s a clarifying experience when you wake up to see this on the whiteboard in your hospital room, and it’s probably time to make the most of the moments that remain.
