Some remnants of a giant tornado producing storm system from the plains pass over Chester County.

Things openned up at sunset, and I was glad that I had a camera with me.

Lower Manhattan and Jersey City skylines from New Jersey.

From a distance One World Trade Center (nearing completion) is clearly the tallest building in the neighborhood.

The large boxy building on the left is 30 Hudson Street (aka Goldman Sachs Tower) located in Jersey City. Just to the right of GST is One World Trade Center which looks less impossing due to its greater distance.

The comet Pan-STARRS is now visible from the northern hemisphere. This comet was discovered by the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System, hence the name.

Jupiter is the brightest object in this photo and is currently located in the constellation Taurus. Just below and also to the left of Jupiter is the open cluster Hyades which is about 150 light-years away. In addition the open cluster Pleiades, which is about 400 light-years distant, can be seen just above the tree branches (right of center).
